This @WaffleHouse business giving me anxiety. So much that I had to write about it. Because #Wafflehouse demonstrates in the most perfect way how #whitesupremacy is the decider of whether black folks will be feted or humiliated. And they've done both in 24 hours. Perfectly.

You have a tale of two @WaffleHouse s. In one a black man is celebrated for taking out an armed shooter (brought to you by #whitesupremacy). Everyone cheers for the black man who cleans up the horrific mess brought to you by entitlement and shitty gun laws.

At the root of it all, America's gun laws are the way they are because #whitesupremacy feels it must arm itself for surely the people of color it has mistreated will one day rise up and treat whiteness with the same disdain #whitesupremacy has held for blackness.

You have an brave young man, James Shaw Jr who wrestles the white shooter to the ground, saving the lives of many. A black person taking care of an issue created by #whitesupremacy. And even the most vehemently racist of Twitter trolls like Joe Walsh cannot wait to toast to him.

But within the SAME 24 hours, at the same eating establishment a few states over at the #Saraland @WaffleHouse a young #ChikesiaClemons is wrestled to the ground and has her humanity and clothing ripped off of her by law enforcement over a dispute about PLASTIC UTENSILS.

And @WaffleHouse releases some wimpy ass statement declaring that the humiliating punishment suffered by Ms. Clemons was just and worthy. Because THAT'S HOW WE TREAT BLACK PEOPLE.

Living and existing in America is living with the constantly knowledge that some view you as lower than animals. And #whitesupremacy will decide whether you are feted or punished with a swat on the nose of a heavy newspaper ... which is also white supremacy.

can't even get right enough with black folks to side with the black woman who had her clothes ripped off after having another black person SAVE THE DAY in a violent shooting in their establishment. They can't give us 24 hours as humans in their establishment.

Oh and the #Saraland @WaffleHouse is especially dear to my heart because my Grandmother lives in Eight Mile, Alabama and that is where we go for a treat. There isn't much around there. And my Gran doesn't get out much.

So congratulations @WaffleHouse you've robbed this black customer of sweet memories with her grandmother, drinking coffee one of the booths. You've robbed me of the one small joy because #Saraland really doesn't offer much.

And you've accurately demonstrated @WaffleHouse exactly how this country and #whitesupremacy uses and abuses black people. Celebrating us when we save your skin from the ugly monsters you have created while dehumanizing us the next ... because we don't matter to you.
