This is an ad for "Sweet Jesus" an ice cream shop in Canada & 1 here in the US. Look at the cup

There are so many things wrong with this.
*the black eye
*the rosary
*the crucifix pendant
*the "monkey on his back"
*the provocative nature of a kid being photographed to look this way
*the fact that a little boy was tanned, "tattooed", posed & photographed. #MyBoysWouldHateIt

Look closely at the cup. It's the shop's logo. Interesting symbols embedded in the words can't be just "tight marketing" can it? Ya know, really "workin the brand"...

How about this one? Is this logo more clear?
Some people believe the lightning bolt is symbolic for Lucifer.

The other is an inverted cross: a mockery of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, among a plethora of other similarly themed meanings.

So a boycott ensues. Christians feel strongly that this is blasphemy.

After reading about this, I wanna see their website. Here you can see their Marketing Strategy "on steroids". Has the same "creepy-artsy" feel as the website of The Standard Hotels. Here are some examples of advertisements from this SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM SHOP (the storefront sign)

Remember. They sell ice cream.

Cold, delicious ice cream is their specialty.

Now, let's rewind to the words of the Liar for a Living, er, I mean, Marketing executive... "Our aim is not to offer commentary on anyone's religion or belief systems."

Does anyone think this could fall under "Commentary on Religion"?
