Some background on Dowson 1st. He was kicked out of the Orange Order in the 90s for being too extreme and was both heavily involved in both the BNP, and the loyalist flag riots in Belfast in 2010/11. He has several criminal convictions,

Aside from the aforementioned protest at the Mary Stopes Clinic in Belfast, were he was working with Youth Defence (who are behind the savethe8thinfo facebook page, Dowson has ties to Belfast Anti Choice activist Bernadette Smyth running the Scottish Chapter of "Precious Life"

So it's clear Dowson has ties to both Youth Defence and the Far Right

Dowson has been extraordinarily busy these last few years, and according to @hopenothate's 2017 report has been building an empire of fake news & far-right websites out of Budapest.

So Jim Dowson is a far-right extremist based in Budapest, adept at running online campaigns, & has a well-documented history of involvement with both the Irish PL Movement & Youth Defence.

And @savethe8thinfo (a campaign run by YD) is partially run out of Hungary.

Dowson's organisation is based in Budapest (though Dowson may be banned from the country right now, we don't know)

Given Dowson's previous relationship with YD, it's extremely unlikely that @savethe8thinfo AREN'T using his organisation as part of their campaign.

My final thought on funding. Youth Defense is currently financed by an "anonymous interest-free loan" of 230k

During Brexit there was an "anonymous" 500k donation to the DUP for an anti-EU ad campaign.

Given his extremists politics & militant anti choice views, it’s scarcely credible that Dowson is ignoring the #8thref. But his personal brand is too toxic even for Youth Defence. So it makes sense that Dowson might be providing financial/web expertise to their campaign on the QT
