@FareedZakaria’s @WashingtonPost column claims U.S. President Donald Trump’s #IranDealWithdrawal is “raising tensions in the most unstable part of the globe, the Middle East.”
Reminder: #Obama’s JCPOA allowed #Iran to wreak havoc across the region.
washingtonpost.com/opinions/globa…
(2)
@FareedZakaria can’t “understand the rationale behind Trump’s decision” because supporting appeasement vis-à-vis #Iran won’t allow you.

Zakaria asks “If Iran is as dangerous & malign an actor as he says…”

Maybe (God forbid) another 500,000 people have to die in Syria...
(3)
@FareedZakaria blows his cover & shows he is an #Iran apologist by raising the issue of “regime change.”

This places him alongside the Iranian regime, as Tehran is gravely concerned over its future.

The question is, why is Zakaria suddenly so worried? That’s quite telling.
(4)
@FareedZakaria then mentions #Iran opposition PMOI/MEK, claiming they have “little support within Iran.”

Any proof, Farid?

I have used this counter-argument many times & I will use it again.

(5)
@FareedZakaria considering regime change for #Iran to be “so extreme” again signals his #Iran apologist nature, arguing there is no other choice but to accept the status quo, allowing the mullahs to continue their devastating domestic crackdown & horrendous foreign meddling.
(6)
Yes, #Iran’s people have roots in an “ancient civilization.”

However, this has nothing to do with the mullahs who hijacked the 1979 revolution & devastated not only this country but plunged the entire Middle East into its current flashpoint circumstances.
(7)
#Iran’s regime has “withstood U.S. pressure & sanctions for nearly four decades” due to the appeasement policy @FareedZakaria advocates.

Now that a firm policy is being implemented, Zakaria & Co. go the limits to prevent it.
Thus, helping safeguard Tehran’s mullahs.

Shame.
(8)
“The lesson of the past two decades in the Middle East” is actually something @FareedZakaria refuses to discuss:

- #Iran’s regime is busy fueling all the region’s crises.
- Iran has an alternative found in the NCRI (@Iran_Policy) & PMOI/MEK (@mojahedineng).
(9)
Interestingly @FareedZakaria mentions the 1953 US-UK sponsored coup that toppled #Iran’s sole elected government.
Iranian regime founder Khomeini supported the coup against Mossadegh.
trackpersia.com/khomeini-predi…
And #Iran apologists shed tears for Mossadegh?
#Hypocrisy
(10)
@FareedZakaria then calls for embracing #Iran’s regime.

#Obama went the limits in embracing Tehran & look where that has left us:

- Iran remains the world's no. 1 executioner per capita
- Four capitals are controlled by Tehran, devastating the lives of millions
(11)
@FareedZakaria talks about “moderate elements” in #Iran.

He means Hassan Rouhani, the smiling president that is nothing but @khamenei_ir’s stooge, green lighting thousands of executions during his tenure.

This is Zakaria’s definition of “moderate elements.”
(12)
As a final thought, I would be very offended if someone like @rezamarashi, a known #Iran lobbyist, said I sound “a lot like NIAC,” (a known Iran lobby group in Washington).

And of course, CNN constantly interviews Marashi…

U.S. President Donald Trump has accepted the resignation of Nikki Haley as UN Ambassador.

My gut tells me an even bigger story will develop.

Rest assured #Iran's regime is terrified about who Trump/Pompeo will appoint as their new envoy.

Add this to the long list linking #Iran's regime with international terrorism.

This time, the al Qaeda-affiliated al Shabaab militant group of Somalia.

More reason why a firm policy is needed against Tehran.
