MACC found Najib received $10.6 million in 2015. Request to investigate further was rejected by the AG.
A reminder on how Najib consistently tried to deny any involvement and then he came up with confusing contradictory narratives to justify the transfer of the funds into his account:
Since the change of government took place at all levels of the leadership, whistleblowers are no longer afraid.
Hence, Reuters provided the name of the source of this revelation. It’s Lim Chee Wee. He’s the panel on the committee.
We can confirm that the AG was Apandi Ali.
Both MACC and the AG didn’t respond to Reuter’s request for comments.
Lim’s comments:
Lim is not alone. His claims were supported by his colleague on the Panel, P. Sundramoorthy.
They were only able to trace the movement of the funds in Malaysia.
A reminder that in 2016, Najib’s lawyer told @ChannelNewsAsia Najib denies receiving such funds.
Who is Mr. Lim and what is his role?
So, looks like MACC did a really good job. They were professionals. Issue has always been the AG.
Apandi.
No further information as the documents were all OSA-ed.
Will PM’s order recently to lift the classification cover these documents?
I doubt so.
