1/ Quick border story from 2001, I was in the Border Patrol for a year. Stationed next to the Otay Mesa Port of Entry. An adult female presents herself for admission to the Port; accompanied by a 2-year old she says is hers. Upon questioning, she flees, leaves the kid there.. 2/ Call goes out to the Border Patrol (including me) with her description. Well, my partner and I find her chatting up some friend by the McDonalds waiting for a cab. When questioned, she denied knowing the kid and then tried to say it was her cousin's kid.

1/The surge of aliens at the border will not stop, BUT there are solutions. FACT, Many of the kids are being trafficked, close to 200,000 came here SOLO during the Obama admin. In fact, I belonged to the @DHSgov Human Smuggling Cell, that was created because of the surge. 2/ There are ways to curb this or expedite the process. If you can't qualify for asylum or other legal method; then you must be returned; NOT linger in immigration court for years with appeals. How do you expedite this?...

1/Proper vetting for once; use the contracted Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program to monitor the sponsors (this is a program for aliens released from custody while they work through the immigration court system); the sponsors must be monitored and report in regularly..... 2/ HHS must work directly with ICE. Also, ICE also uses Orders of Supervision (OSUP) to monitor those released, the alien must report in monthly (or earlier if needed). Use this program, it is monitored by actual ICE officers that would be charged with monitoring the release...
