For people who canā€™t be bothered about all the permutations and technicalities of which genotypes should (or should not) marry, this is ALL the genotype advice you need in one sentence:

IF your genotype is not AA, marry an AA partner.

Thatā€™s your best bet.
End of advice. Or better still,

Regardless of what your genotype is,
Marry an AA partner.

Irrespective of the permutations and your own genotype, an AA partner is your best option.
I hope thatā€™s simple enough.
Thanks for your time.

Now retweet for others to be aware.

In the following tweets I will address an issue which Iā€™ve heard two similar stories about and I have had to apologise to the people involved and also offer a form of ā€˜explanationā€™ on behalf of the doctors involved.

Please read this story and hopefully we all learn.
#Chaperone Case 1: A man in his 40s went to a hospital and saw a young female doctor because heā€™s been having more frequent urination and waking up at night a lot to urinate.

The lady asked to check his prostate by putting her fingers in his anus, and he felt very awkward.

I have lived in UK a few years now and NEVER has my bank ever charged me one penny for bank transfer.
NEVER. NOT ONCE.

Iā€™m sorry. But that 52 naira 50kobo that Nigerian banks deduct per transaction, what exactly is it for?

Why is no one speaking out against this blatant fraud? Next is the fraudulent ā€œCard Maintenance Feesā€ by our Nigerian banks. Please how are you maintaining a card that lives in my wallet?

I have about 3-4 UK Bank Cards here. Both credit cards and debit cards.
I have NEVER paid any such thing as a ā€œCard Maintenance Feeā€.
NEVER EVER.

I firmly believe the Medical And Dental Council of Nigeria needs to start punishing PUBLICLY medical malpractice.

A country where medical professionals can do what they like with NO FEAR of consequences or jail time or licenses withdrawn is a dangerous country for its citizens. Thereā€™s a healthy level of caution that needs to be in every medical professional. You must approach our job with the FULL understanding that your actions and our decisions can be investigated and will be investigated should anything go wrong.

This has to be clear.

Someone sent me a copy of trash that has been spreading round on WhatsApp groups and I think I should address it. You may have been unlucky to see it in one way or the other.

But here Iā€™ve posted it.

ā€œIf you have sex with a man, his DNA lives in you foreverā€

THAT IS A LIE pls! Then it goes ahead to talk about an imaginary research that has NO names of researchers and NO journals stated where it was published. This is a red flag. Shows you it is scam.

A simple way to recognise #FakeNews is the total absence of verifiable sources of information posted.

To boys who tell ladies they are having very severe stomach pains from not having sex:
Your day of reckoning has come šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

That line is an ABSOLUTE lie šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

No man ever gets severe acute stomach ache from not having sex.
And NO, not having sex has NO LONG TERM DAMAGES to a man. I understand as a part of some imaginary bro code, I shouldnā€™t put this information out there šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

But Iā€™m sorry, Iā€™m just a messenger doing the work of the Lord šŸ˜‚

The story that a man will be having very severe stomach ache that can only be relieved by sex is a total lie šŸŒš

To people that drink salt water after sex:

Semen goes into your womb.
Salt water goes into your stomach.
Two different tunnels in the same body. Thereā€™s no connection between them.

Thatā€™s like noticing your toilet is dirty and washing your kitchen.
You just wasted your time šŸŒš Donā€™t argue with anybody. Let them drink the salt water.

If God chooses to do His thing, and all the requirements for a pregnancy are met- egg released and sperm fertilised the egg- we shall all reconvene in a few months to eat spicy Jollof and give the baby a beautiful name.

A friend shared a very sad story with me. And they need your advice.

A man ran to my friendā€™s mom (the friend who told me the story) for help.
His wife is very angry & destroying things in their house.

Why: Husband connived with doctor to remove her womb without her consent. The man said they have five children already and ā€œwhat does she need the womb for?ā€

And that he feels she wants to ā€œkill him with responsibilitiesā€, so he told the doctor to remove the womb.

Iā€™m honestly befuddled and confused. This is a different level of control and madness.

Before some people start off a SentimentOlympics, letā€™s be clear that doctors do the ABSOLUTE best to save BOTH lives. We almost NEVER think of saving just one.

However IF it had to be one, gynaecologists prioritise the mother. Reason is simple- a woman can have another child. The ONLY exception to such reasoning will be a potential situation where the labour process has been so stressful and complications so severe that thereā€™s medically no hope of saving the woman, then the child becomes a priority.

Other than that, itā€™s always MOTHER first. Always.

Pls note:
Sex is NOT a cure for depression.

Sex if any good at all is only a quick fix, just like alcohol or hard drugs.

It feels good at the moment but NEVER solves the actual problem. And when the ā€œhighā€/feel-good effect is over, reality dawns and you are back to ground zero. If anyone has been having low mood, feelings of helplessness, thoughts of worthlessness and general disinterest in life, please I beg you:

do NOT turn to sex, drugs, alcohol or any other quick fix that only temporarily distracts for a while but never sorts the problem.

I beg u.

Okay. I need to clarify something I felt was a simple issue not worthy of even making a topic on, but apparently it is.

Here it is:
When you retweet a tweet, does it automatically mean you share the same sentiments, believe the same ideology or think the same way as the author? I'm asking because for me personally, a retweet is NOT an automatic endorsement of the author or the message. Neither is it necessarily an idea I subscribe to, in whole or in parts.

I think the above paragraph should be pretty much normal reasoning for anyone here on this app.

Thanks for this question sir.

Itā€™s one that I get a lot in different forms but which I will try to explain as simple as I can.

Now there are potentially different medical explanations for a woman who believes she has carried or she can carry a pregnancy for years. Thereā€™s something called ā€œcryptic pregnancyā€ where a person is pregnant and they may never be aware of it.
Itā€™s thought to be psychological but this is a very rare phenomenon.

Thereā€™s another group called ā€œhysterical pregnancyā€ who is actually not pregnant but thinks she is.
Jul 10, 2018 ā€¢ 5 tweets ā€¢ 2 min read
Itā€™s very rare but itā€™s medically possible. Tho Iā€™ve never seen one.

Itā€™s called ā€œSuperfetationā€ where an already pregnant woman still ovulates a few weeks after and the egg gets fertilised.

And so she actually gets pregnant even while being pregnant already. Strange but true. The only confusion I have is how throughout the entire pregnancy, there was no scan that picked up the extra baby as well.

But again, thatā€™s a question that only the mother and the medical doctors can answer.

So yeah, itā€™s quite an uncommon event but itā€™s medically possible.

Brethren, news broke that one brother borrowed 650,000 naira (about 1350Ā£) from his girlfriend to do Introduction with the love of his life.

We need to hav a Brotherā€™s Meeting and tell ourselves the cold truth-
This is NOT being smart.
This is fraud and wickedness.
A big shame. The story is he told the young lady he needed the money for some fictitious business deal on Paris only to be seen doing an Introduction Ceremony with another girl in another state.

Brothers, thereā€™s no way we will spin this scenario, itā€™s clearcut emotional and financial fraud.

In the last 24 hours or thereabout, a particular video of the Nigerian Inspector General of Police surfaced online. This has sparked up interesting conversations around the topic of Dyslexia on social media.

I will attempt to talk about this from a purely medical perspective.
1/ While there has been arguments in support and in criticism of the Police boss, one that I find amusing is the suggestion that the gentleman has dyslexia. Just from the video, twitter fingers made a diagnosis of dyslexia.

Sadly thatā€™s rather unfortunate.
Letā€™s talk on this.

Yes. Your parents having twins strongly make it likely you would.

And yes, women who eat a lot of yam have a higher tendency of having twins.
This is shocking but true.

Do u know a small town in Oyo State called Igbo-Ora has the highest number of twin births in the whole world? And it is strongly believed the yam diet quite common in that area explains why they have the highest twin birth rate in the whole world.

As a matter of fact, the BBC as at 2001 released an article on this.
