Charles Krauthammer died today. Everything that's said about his towering intellect and precision writing is true. And those are wonderful things. But he was so much more than that. And I miss him terribly. Absolutely hilarious. Extremely charming. Kind but not in a fake way. In fact, he could be deliciously cutting against those he held in low regard. Generous with advice, which is not nothing for younger journalists and pundits.

IG report deals with meeting where Comey asked Lynch how to talk about criminal investigation of HRC and she said to call it a "matter." We already knew of this because someone leaked it to NYT in April 2017. (nytimes.com/2017/04/22/us/…) 1/ Gosh I wonder who that "someone" was who leaked to @mattapuzzo a story that painted St. Comey in the most saintlike light and Clinton ally Lynch in an unfavorable light. In April of 2017. While Comey was still FBI director.

Some truth in claim had Obama done what Trump has at summit, right leaders would be freaking out, but ultimately silly talking point. Some trust Trump's posture more than Obama's. And vote for Trump was in part rejection of bipartisan/global elite's interventionism/war consensus. Also, pundits and foreign policy elite who have been wrong at every step of this process (not to mention all the recent ill-conceived wars) are showing no humility about their errors. They're just shouting louder. Not as convincing as they may think.

If by “destroys” you mean “reminds people why they utterly loathe the media and vote Trump,” you are correct.

He says, dismissively, 'did I investigate who leaked an unclassified public document?' 1/ 1) the significant leak that got the entire Russia hysteria going was about his meeting with Trump, not the dossier (though that was also published). As CNN dutifully "reported," that Trump was briefed meant that the document had to be taken seriously. 2/

Jim Jordan asks if Peter Strzok was involved in FISA court application to spy on Trump campaign? Was dossier part of that? Jordan says it sure looks like dossier was involved in FISA app and easiest way to clear it up would be for FBI to come clean.
