I’m seeing a lot of brouhaha being played by the Indian media, think-tankies regarding the “reset”, “thaw” in relations. 1)The meeting draws on the similar format of reset and informal meets organised by Xi for Obama in 2013 and the Mar-a-lago summit hosted for Xi by Trump last year. Both have failed to bring any kind of reset. Instead there is a trade war looming between China and USA now

1)I've said it a zillion times but saying this again;the social science education is rotten to the core; educated individuals with their hearts in the right place for India have abandoned the country and allowed mediocrity, hate and extreme left ideology to take deepest roots 2) This wholescale import of social science methodologies, terminologies from the west and force fitting them to the Indian scenario has robbed one of thinking like an Indian and evolving measures that suit the local conditions

I grew up in Pune without discriminating or being discriminated ag.Troubles started from day 1 at TISS where I went to pursue my Masters. It was the first time away from home, first time dealing with life independently .... Most part of my TISS journey went in depression so much so that after the first year, unable to deal with negativities, I pleaded with my mother to quit the program. I had joined social work because I loved volunteering for social causes and thought of making it my career.

Had the opportunity to attend a seminar on "Challenges facing China's Belt and Road initiative" by Prof Linda Lim of University of Michigan's Business School. Went in thinking I'll be hearing paeans sung on how great the BRI initiative is and how to iron the difficulties Instead Prof Linda Lim's lecture came as a breathe of fresh air among all the "win-win" collaborations parroted usually as sign of either self-censorship/political correctness.
