Getting cancer in the U.S. (if you are not eligible for Medicare) is a horrific experience.

If you are <65yo and you have private insurance thru your job, then you would be covered.....unless you get laid off. Which would likely happen if you use up all your sick days for chemo For cancer patients who end up doing multiple rounds of chemo:

1. You would use up all your sick days
2. You would lose your job unless you are able to work the minimum amount to maintain benefits (impossible for some types of cancer)
3. You'd lose your insurance

I can’t decide which is worse:

a.) The NYT’s coverage of POTUS is so bad, their reporters did not know about his relationship to Justice Kennedy’s son until this week

or

b.) NYT reporters sat on this information and did not mention it to the public.

🤔 I bet if the NYT has actually reported this at ****any time**** before Justice Kennedy announced his retirement, there would’ve been public pressure for Justice Kennedy to stay on the bench until after midterms.
