Elections are complicated things. Why someone wins or loses can have many explanations. Why someone votes for a candidate is just as complicated.
1. Democrats tend to take the lessons from elections that they want, as do Republicans. We view elections from a confirmation bias, or at least activists do. Operatives don’t get that luxury.
