The Carteret County Human Society is taking on water. Its roof is collapsing.
The shelter also needs a place, like a large business nearby, that can temporarily hold the 43 dogs and 80 cats.
If you can safely lend a hand, contact Tupaj at 603-662-8544
The Cajun Navy was on its way to help with the evacuation as of 7:30 p.m., Tupaj said, but were looking for transportation out of the area.

Here is a tip people in North or South Carolina outside the evacuation zones.
Go out and buy gas later in the night tonight.
Don't try to do it right after work unless you want to wait in line forever.
Time is precious right now and wasting it waiting doesn't help.
This is Raleigh at every gas station.

This is a "marriage notebook" from a student at The Women's College of The University of North Carolina, class of 1943.
To see how far we have come we must look at our past.

Somewhere Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise are cracking each other up.
The best way to remember someone is to smile when you think about them.
Burt always made me smile.

There is emotion in Kamala Harris's voice.
Its the shake of holding something back.
As she keeps going, her volume is raising.

I want you to put emotions aside for 5 minutes and be analytical
Take a look at Thurgood Marshall under Twitter trends
I'm writting this at 8:30 am EDT
In the recent tweets a ton of businesses are posting the same generic tweet so we know an app or service is pushing it
There are also a ton of negative tweets either questioning why we reflect on this date or attacking democrats in 1967.
These are obvious trolls and/or bots who most likely are picking up the story from similar news services.
The timing is key because its only 3:30 pm Moscow.

I hate to break it to everyone, but it's impossible to agree with every single thing someone says.
My wife disagrees with me all the time and we're married.
Stop thinking everyone must have the same opinions as you.
We're not a hive, we are individuals working towards a goal.
I have written 47,500 tweets.
We're not going to see eye to eye on all 47,500.

I've been noticing an uptick in OLD videos of animal abuse, child abuse, and racial/police violence being shared.
Before you send out a "find this person" tweet, do some background on the event.
Don't be the person that sensationalizes a graphic video just to get retweets.
*I'm talking about videos that are OLD.
I'm seeing videos that were filmed years ago.

Just an observation.
59,948,323 Americans thought John McCain should have been our President in 2008.
He is one of the few Republicans that was viewed favorably by Democrats and Independents.
Let's use this time to bridge the gap between political sides.
If I need to spell it out even further.
Trashing McCain alienates a huge portion of the country.
If you really want to help this nation, show some sympathy for those who respected him.

Catfish bots have decided to randomly post in my replies.

What is going on between Chris Cuomo and Kellyanne Conway?
This is a bizarre interview.
It's like I'm sitting accross the table from a couple that is in a heated argument in a resturant that hasn't hit the level of yelling yet, which makes it even more disturbing.
