Today, Alhamdulillah, the award I wrote about two weeks ago, which had been previously rescinded was reinstated. (This is good news. It won’t go viral the way the bad news did without some intentionality. So I’m asking for your help. Last night, I was scheduled to receive an award for my community building work from an interfaith organization. *However, earlier this week, the organization rescinded my award because of my vocal support of Palestinian human rights.* When I received a call in March notifying me that I had been selected as one of the organization’s 2018 awardees, I was honored. I accepted the invitation, and my name was publicly announced as one of their honorees.
