Just read the story. The story is more about Aadhaar eKYC mess than @paytm & how it is destroying Industry. Whole Banking Industry is now into "mandatory" Aadhaar eKYC rush for even though there is nothing makes aadhaar mandatory for a/c opening. Rules, 2017 clearly specifies that new account holders have upto six months to submit aadhaar.

Kid's school requested Aadhaar numbers to comply with Karnataka EDU secretary's order asking all schools to add all children's to DISE portal & children tracking system(WTF?) Of Govt with June 30 deadline.
We send a 3 page letter to principal explaining legal status quoting SC The DISE seems like yet another huge DB project to collect children details in the name of school performance reports.

This is run by National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) with MHRD backing and DPEP partnerships

At @HDFC_Bank 100feet road branch indiranagar branch to open a salary account. The Bank is refusing to accept my application without aadhaar even after I pointing PMLA rules 6months extension clause. Wrote a letter to branch manager and waiting for its acknowledgment .@HDFC_Bank Branch Manager Ajith refused to accept my fully filled application no (MF1604032804) , Extended KYC Annexture with PAN & Passport photocopies, Copies of relevant Gazette Notifications and SC orders. Bhavana K , Manager given me the rejection in writing.
