I have just witnessed the most spectacular thing I've ever seen, at the Lake County Fair. It's called a "boat race," and it's what you get when you live in a non-affluent rural county with an enormous lake in the middle.

This car lapped all the others multiple times. Take your running beater car, put screen over the windows and maybe a roll cage if you've got a few bucks.

Then chain or cable anything that can technically be called a boat to the back of it.

Then drag it around an oval track with a dozen other racers.
