So #HandmaidsTale is going to pretend that for hundreds of years the US didn't already have a practice of raping women and forcing them to reproduce to make their masters happy? They want to pretend this dystopia never already existed? I knew I avoided it this long for a reason. It is essentially a replication of slavery:
1. A war being pivotal for a people's liberation (but with the opposite outcome).
2. Escaping to Canada as a means of emancipation.
3. Women being forced to sleep with their masters to have babies.
