Broadcast last night by @TheYoungTurks: “Republicans ADMIT they’re coming for your Social Security and Medicare.“ Almost 50,000 views as I write this. @AnaKasparian (45sec): “It is going to add $1.9 trillion to our federal deficit over the next 10 years.”

Why is increasing the deficit a bad thing? Yes, it should go to the many, not just funneled to the few, but what specifically is wrong with an increasing deficit?
