Russian Minister of Defense S. Shoigu announces that Russia will complete the delivery to Damascus of an S-300 air defense system within two weeks. Russian President V. Putin ordered the defense ministry to take several measures in response to the incident with Il-20:
1-Russia to supply S-300 to Syria (In 2013 on a request from the Israeli side suspended the delivery)

Russian MoD presented a detailed 3D timeline of Il-20 downing in Syria on September 17. Israeli Air Force had notified Russia of its planned attacks on Syrian targets simultaneously with the beginning of the strikes (1 min before), violating 2015 bilateral agreements to prevent incidents in Syrian airspace.

Russian MoD released graphic showing how the Il-20 was shot down.Israeli AF F-16s masked themselves behind a Russian Il-20 during their airstrike against Syrian industrial facilities in #Tartus & #Latakia. Israel also used French Navy’s frigate Auvergne in area as cover. 4 Israeli F-16 jets attacked targets in Syria on Monday evening, approaching from Mediterranean at a low altitude. The Il-20 was on patrol in the same area.The warning came just a minute before the attack started,which did not leave time to move the Il-20 plane to a safe area.
