The texts from Ms. Berchem do not appear relevant or contradictory to Judge Kavanaugh’s testimony. This appears to be another last-ditch effort to derail the nomination with baseless innuendo by Democrats who have already decided to vote no. 1/6 Shortly before Friday’s committee meeting began, Senator Blumenthal’s office forwarded ten emails to the Chairman’s office originally from Ms. Berchem. They were immediately passed to Chairman Grassley’s oversight and investigations team for review. 2/6

Senate Democrats keep calling for an FBI investigation, but they fail to mention that the FBI’s role is not to reach conclusions in these cases. 1/6 Dr. Ford’s allegations WERE submitted to the FBI on Sept. 13 by RM Feinstein MORE THAN SIX WEEKS after she received them. The FBI then added them to Judge Kavanaugh’s file for the @SenJudiciary to review. The FBI then closed the case. 2/6

Within hours of learning Dr. Ford’s identity from press reports on Sunday Chairman Grassley took swift action making contact w the alleged witnesses. Dems haven’t joined background investigation of Dr. Ford’s allegations. It's our constitutional duty to do investigations. Join us Democrats sat on Dr. Ford’s allegations for MONTHS & did nothing. They STILL haven’t turned over the original letter they received from Dr. Ford. Why would Dems sit on allegations for months and then not even participate in the Committee’s investigation?
