So I lost a job offer because my current salary is too low. They interviewed me, liked me, offered me the job, but wouldn't pay me the stated salary for the job because they cannot justify the percentage jump I would get.

Please wrap your mind around this. #TrueStory They would pay another person that money, but will not pay me, the preferred candidate that money because they cannot justify to internal auditors the percentage hike I would make.
