I can only say this about #AtalBihariVaajpayee in those days when there was no Social Media, no Net, and newspapers were the sole source of information, he along with Advani was instrumental in attracting many like towards BJP, and a genuine non Congress alternative.
Whatever Advani and #AtalBihariVaajpayee turned out to be later, both of them were instrumental in influencing many like me to turn towards BJP and a right wing of thought at a national level. And they did it when there was only Print Media that totally anti BJP.
Mind you both Advani and #AtalBihariVaajpayee did not have Social Media or even the Net, they were dealing with an establishment that was totally dyed in the wool Nehruvian secularism, a media that was completely against Sangh Parivaar, yet they managed to influence.
