In February 2017, the Charlottesville City Council voted to remove the statue of Robert E. Lee from a local park named for him & in June they voted to rename it “Emancipation Park.” nytimes.com/2017/08/13/us/…

(1) THREAD on #SecurityClearances & #WhiteSupremacists. @PBS/@ProPublica issued a story today abt #MichaelMiselis — a UCLA PhD student who works for #NorthropGrumman w/security clearance. He participated in Charlottesville as a violent White Supremacist.

(2) Miselis allegedly "pushed an African-American protester to the ground and began pounding on him," and "fought alongside RAM members, wrestling one protester to the ground and punching others" in Berkeley at a #Trump rally.
(3) RAM is Rise Above Movement, a Southern California group that expresses contempt for Muslims, Jews, and immigrants. A very typical #Trump supporting organization that President has never condemned. Pretty horrible group of Nazis basially. For info, read adl.org/resources/back…

Neuhas was not completely right. #Fascists, #WhiteSupremacists, Nazis, bigots, etc. lambast progressives for not tolerating their views. But hateful extremists use #tolerance merely as a tool to gain acceptance & obtain power. #CampaignforCivility #WhyWeResist 2/

2/ The word Manu literary means man but it is a title given to the progenitor of mankind. According to Hindu Puranas there are many kalpas (One day of Lord Brahma the creator) and each Kalpa has 14 manvantara and each manvatara has one manu. So basically each Kalpa has 14 Manus.
3/ The current manu of the present manvantara is Shraddhadeva or Vaivasvata Manu of this current Kalpa. He is the son of Vivasvat (Probably Surya) and is therefore also known as Manu-vaivasvata.

So, my dad lives in Naples, FL. He's struggling to get fuel for generators. I called a nearby Marathon to see if they had any. 1/
I called five times before my call went through. I asked if they had gas. Yes, he said. 2/
I asked if I could fill up any gas cans. (This was one of my dad's worries. He had been told that gas stations wouldn't allow it.)
