I was a scholarship athlete at Ohio State during the years Jim Jordan was an assistant wrestling coach.

As young athletes, we & our parents placed our trust in the university, its coaches & staff.

Many of us, while accomplished athletes in our sport, were living away from home for the first time. College is a time of great personal growth, responsibility & awareness. As athletes we encountered many different staffers, besides teachers and administrators.
Athletes had to attend study halls with proctors and other staff to make sure we maintained grades and our athletic status. We were constantly around other adults & staff whom we were told were there to help us succeed and compete.

If we succeeded, the university succeeded.
