If Kavanaugh gets confirmed, we power through to the midterms, and start a conversation about impeachment and court reform. Let’s take Clarence Thomas down with him. We’re not subjects of the law, we make the law. ✊
This is going to get harder before it gets easier, but it’s just the beginning. All these fuckers are going down. We’re just getting started. ☠️💕
Full disclosure: I’m still somewhat off the grid. I’m trying to recharge, to come back stronger than you can possibly imagine. Until I return completely, please follow #RiseUpForRoe feminist superheroes @SymoneDSanders, @MsPackyetti, @importantmeagan, @JessLivMo, @jess_mc. 😎💕

“We can win this fight! We just need Democrats to rally together and a little political calculus.”

“This is not just about abortion. This is not just about Roe. This is about a man telling the rest of us what we can do with our bodies.”

@MsPackyetti, crediting activists in communities of disability with pointing out Kavanaugh’s troubling history

“Abortion is healthcare... we are talking about folks getting the medical care they need. And I’ll be damned if a bunch of white men in the U.S. Senate are going to prevent that.”

@SymoneDSanders, getting straight to the damn point

We had our first annual @OnwardTogether members call yesterday. Thank you to the thousands of members who joined. We had a chance to hear from a few of our partner groups about the progress they're making to strengthen our democracy. I want to share some of it with you.
When @RunForSomething launched, they expected to find 100 people who wanted to run for local office. Instead, they've recruited 17,000 young candidates in all 50 states, built a network of 6,000 volunteers, and endorsed 308 candidates. Their new goal: recruit 50k candidates.
.@CollectivePAC recruits, trains, and funds progressive black candidates at every level of government. They've helped elect 23 officials so far and are doing a series of trainings for candidates and operatives with the goal of training 200 people by 2019 and 2020.
