"The Battle for Truth" appears to be the winner! Haven't read this book in forever so this will be fun.

Alright, everyone, buckle up. We're gonna take a look at David Noebel's classic on worldview studies, "The Battle for Truth: Defending the Christian Worldview in the Marketplace of Ideas." Noebel directed Summit Ministries, which taught apologetics to children. #ChristianAltFacts
Noebel begins the book with an ominous declaration: that there is a great Civil War raging in the U.S. today. A war between the forces of light (the Christian worldview) and the forces of darkness (the Humanist worldview). The Humanist worldview has 3 branches. #ChristianAltFacts
Noebel divides all of modern thought into four categories: Secular Humanist, Marxist/Leninist, Cosmic Humanist, and Biblical Christian. #ChristianAltFacts
Noebel is particularly concerned about public schools, because nefarious Humanists have taken them over and erased Christianity from them! #ChristianAltFacts
When Noebel gets to "Biblical Christian Psychology," that's when it really goes south. Here's Noebel explaining that "the source of all psychological problems" is "man's sinful nature." #ChristianAltFacts
Only Christians can develop "true, meaningful, and workable psychology." #ChristianAltFacts
Here's what David Noebel believes about mental illnesses: he puts them in quotation marks and argues they are merely "unsolved personal problems" rooted in rebellion against God. #ChristianAltFacts
The Christian psychologist's first step with a client should be to hold them "personally responsible for the sin in his life." #ChristianAltFacts
Here's David Noebel's approach to "marriage and the family": it is "strictly defined" as a heterosexual married couple; also, homosexuality and sex ed -- "some of the most bizarre concepts and practices imaginable" -- are polluting our schools. #ChristianAltFacts
Now we turn to "Biblical Christian Economics," where Noebel argues capitalism is the only Biblical Christian Economics™. He begins by stating private property "discourages greed." #ChristianAltFacts
Social justice is evil because "God's Word calls for private property." God is "not on the side of the poor." Justice leads to economic inequality. #ChristianAltFacts
Trickle-down economics is Biblical Christian Economics™ because "the rich aid the poor." #ChristianAltFacts
Capitalism is not only "more socially just than socialism," it is also the "most compatible" with the Biblical Christian Worldview™. #ChristianAltFacts
If it's not part of the Biblical Christian Worldview™, it does not offer any helpful insight into reality. #ChristianAltFacts
If you don't have the Biblical Christian Worldview™, you will wallow in despair and cling to only artificial hopes, ultimately abandoning sanity itself. #ChristianAltFacts
This final picture summarizes what I personally remember most about worldview studies at Summit: that you needed to subject every single thought under a microscope to make sure it was Biblically Christian™. It became an obsession. #ChristianAltFacts
Allright I'll do one more for #ChristianAltFacts. These are both Mary Pride books. Pride is the Queen of Christian Homeschooling. One book is about women submitting to patriarchal standards and the other is a rant against child protective services. Both are, um, remarkable.

Inspired by #ChristianAltFacts, I decided to pull out this old Abeka World History book. If you're interested in knowing what Christian homeschools and private schools are teaching children, follow along.
Here's what Abeka teaches Christian students about colonialism: that it "benefited" Africans and Asians. That's it. No mention of slavery or genocide. #ChristianAltFacts
This is a classic teaching of Christian homeschools and private schools: that the Holocaust is "Evolution's legacy." #ChristianAltFacts
