If you are a self-declared liberal, at least have the courtesy to wait more than a half hour before posting your pro-Kavanaugh screed that you had at the ready.
This really is antithetical reasoning at it's worst.

#AkhilReedAmar: "#Kavanaugh prioritizes the Constitution’s original meaning. An 'originalist' judge,who also cares about what the Constitution meant when its words were ratified in 1788 or when amendments were enacted,cannot do all the historical & conceptual legwork on his own."

Amar: "Democrats are still fuming about #Garland’s failed nomination.The hard truth is that they control neither presidency nor Senate;they have limited options.They could try to sour the hearings by attacking #Kavanaugh & looking to complicate the proceedings whenever possible."

#Amar also claims "The current confirmation process is badly broken, alternating between rubber stamps and witch hunts," an absurd assertion. The last nominee to be rejected by the Senate was #RobertBork in 1987. #MerrickGarland was the only nominee since 1922 to have no action.

Amar's argument that #BrettKavanaugh deserves unanimous approval is predicated on his statement that there is no better jurist in America except maybe #MerrickGarland. So you have to believe that to believe any of this.
