For months, we've consistently cautioned that the Senate must #PressPause on considering President Trump's SCOTUS nominee until the Special Counsel's investigation ends.
LDF President and Director-Counsel @Sifill_LDF penned an op-ed on our country’s commitment to equal justice under the law and why "it is imperative that the process to replace [Justice Kennedy] not be rushed." #WhatsAtStake #ScotusPick #SCOTUSnominee…

If you are a self-declared liberal, at least have the courtesy to wait more than a half hour before posting your pro-Kavanaugh screed that you had at the ready.
This really is antithetical reasoning at it's worst.

A Liberal’s Case for Brett Kavanaugh
#AkhilReedAmar, who taught BK at Yale says: "#BrettKavanaugh has taught courses at leading law schools & published notable law review articles. He is an avid consumer of legal scholarship. He reads and learns. And he reads scholars from across the political spectrum."
#AkhilReedAmar: "#Kavanaugh prioritizes the Constitution’s original meaning. An 'originalist' judge, who also cares about what the Constitution meant when its words were ratified in 1788 or when amendments were enacted, cannot do all the historical & conceptual legwork on his own."

Which unbelievably biased news network should I watch now? 🎲 🎲
🗣 This is the greatest #SCOTUS pick ever by the best president in US history. The risen Jesus could hardly compete with this one. Our republic is saved.

Do you want to see *all* of Judge Kavanaugh's dissents and concurrences, with a brief explanation of each one? Well, here you go from D.C. Circuit Review -- Reviewed @YaleJREG.…

Thanks Miranda Cherkas and Charles Sherrill. These two amazing research assistants worked very, very hard -- and very, very quickly to boot -- to help me put this list together.

Judge #Kavanaugh has been on the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit for over 10 years. He's a member of the Federalist Society. (@FedSoc) (yikes!)
Let's take a look at his record! 🧐 #WhatsAtStake #SaveSCOTUS…
ICYMI: The Federalist Society is “a group of conservatives and libertarians dedicated to reforming the current legal order.” #SCOTUS nominee #BrettKavanaugh is a member. Fun!

The President who will nominate this person is under a cloud. It would be tragic for the President to nominate someone and then for the Mueller investigation to reveal itself to implicate him. #SCOTUSnominee #CourtsMatter #WhatsAtStake
Every name on Trump’s SCOTUS shortlist passed Trump’s litmus test—Roe v. Wade. We cannot afford a justice who places partisan politics over people. We need a justice who has advocated for civil rights, not against them. #WhatsAtStake #SaveSCOTUS…
We have seen the extreme jurisprudence of Justice Gorsuch – who was President Trump’s first nominee for the Court. We can have no confidence that President Trump will present a nominee with a record of commitment to racial equality and…

Who should @POTUS @realDonaldTrump select as his Supreme Court nominee?

Barrett is a grassroots prolifer.

Kavanaugh is very close to the Bushes.

Kethledge is Pro-Amnesty; supported by Never Trump.
This is getting worse all the time: Judge Raymond Kethledge is being supported by a combination of RINOs, Never Trump and now the Washington Post.

If Trump picks Kethledge, he will have wasted a Supreme Court pick. We'll be getting another Kennedy is all…
Judge Kethledge OVERTURNED the grand theft auto conviction of an illegal immigrant saying grand theft auto isn't "theft". This was his rationale to let an illegal stay in the US.

Trump's most likely #SCOTUSnominee is Amy Coney Barrett. She was a law professor before Trump decided to make her a federal judge in 2017.

Before that, she'd never been a judge.🙄

Watch her struggle to answer why she gave paid lectures to a hate group.
.@SenWarren talks about Amy Coney Barrett's lack of impartiality, hyperpartisan stances when it comes to "law and order", (hint: poor folks and people of color get the short end of the stick and that's just fine with her.)
.@SenatorDurbin -- Amy Coney Barrett has "extraordinary, some would even say extreme" views about precedent.
