Unbidden @mikercarpenter called Maria Butina's Right to Bear Arms group emblematic of a "front organization" for Russian intelligence.

Today, their website is down.

Wisconsin's Republican Governor @ScottWalker took a boatload of money from a Russian oligarch and affected Maria Butina in a way that will "remain in my memory forever."

And Maria Butina made contact with an American political operative in Moscow who thereafter would work with Butina to jointly arrange introductions to US persons of influence.

Maria Butina has been indicted for Conspiracy to violate FARA.

The Foreign Agent's Registration Act makes it a criminal offense to act as the agent of a foreign power without first reporting to the Attorney General.
