(1/5) I have a Twitter rant thread in response to @trish_regan saying #Trump "should have defended us" during the #TrumpPutinSummit. Let's talk about this statement:
(2/5) My first question is in response to "Our president should have defended us." Defended us against what? #Russians #meddling? That supposedly happened under #Obama. Are you sure you are criticizing the right #POTUS here?
(3/5) My 2nd question is who is "us?" Have you forgotten how hard #Trump fights for America & her citizens? When Trump said the words that you interpreted as "throwing America under the bus," I didn't take it personally at all, because you are wrong thinking it is about America.
(4/5) The thing #Trump had thrown under the bus is the very thing that us Tea Party types have been alerting people about since 2009. We AGREE with Trump's words. These are his campaign words that motivated us to vote for him.
(5/5) Those who say "#Trump betrayed us on the world stage" are the ones for whom betrayal was a long time coming. Betraying the people who support the corrupt agents actively usurping the will of the American voter is the most patriotic thing I can think of doing.
