Even though a charter might 'technically' be non-profit, SOMEONE is making a profit off it. The school might be non-profit, but the companies managing them are most assuredly for profit.
To make a profit, they cut corners...

There is little financial oversight and since charters don't have to play by the rules, parents have little recourse when things go south.
By the time you realize your child isn't getting a good education, they have likely lost a year.
