That ^ article was written when Assange could at least defend himself on Twitter by compiling said death threats, calling out the lies etc.
Now, the smarmy cowards are getting away with it.

They don't want #freepress, they want freedom from criticism.

Which, surprise, is the utter opposite of freedom of the press and speech.

Where was the call for #freepress when media pundits and their IC/military ilk were calling for the assassination of a politically imprisoned journalist?

Seriously, go read #Assange's thread on this for a reminder of what an attack on the press looks like.

The only thing that compares with the vitriol leveled against Assange by these megalomaniacs is the attack on his mother Christine (@AssangeMrs) since she has become active on Twitter. Also from the accounts of intelligence figures.
