Our corruption problem is enormous, but we can fix it. We can padlock the revolving door, ban elected officials from becoming lobbyists after they leave Congress *for the rest of their lives,* stop self-dealing by elected officials (looking at you, @realDonaldTrump), and more.

We must build an independent anti-corruption agency to ensure all public officials file disclosures and get rid of conflicts, close up the lobbyist loopholes, shine a light on government actions and empower the public and the press with new tools to help safeguard our democracy.

Our country has responded to corruption with deep changes before. Now's our time to do the same.
