We filed a FOIA request and found a foreign government was involved in planning Trump's military parade.
At the foreign government’s request, the administration is refusing to disclose the country's identity. theintercept.com/2018/09/14/vet…
With the Pentagon refusing to disclose which country was involved, we’ve got some guesses on who the culprit could be. “Like” the post with the country you think could be responsible. Thread.

.@kfc just opened submissions for an utterly exploitative contest that encourages parents to sell their newborn baby’s identity to the company for life.
There’s advertising to children, and then there’s paying people to turn their child into the advertisement itself.
If a parent names their child “Harland” — after #KFC Founder Harland “Colonel” Sanders — and enters the contest, they can win $11,000 toward their child’s college education.
Only one child will win, leaving many others with KFC branded names for life and zero compensation.

.@SenWarren: "Across the board, our government is failing to fix the problems that face our working families. It's making the problems worse by giving more power, more money and more advantages to those who already have all three." #EndCorruptionNow

We’re LIVE with partners delivering 80K+ petition signatures to @Nestle’s headquarters demanding the company stop unethically and aggressively marketing infant formula and undermining global health policies. Watch: facebook.com/Care2/videos/2…
Recent reports have exposed what we've known for years: The infant formula industry is doing everything in its power to weaken global health policies, undermine #breastfeeding and rake in more profit. Now Trump's helping his industry friends get their way. nytimes.com/2018/07/08/hea…

Benczkowski represented a Putin-linked Russian bank under investigation for its connections to the Trump Org. Senators are about to vote on his nomination to head the DOJ’s Criminal Division, which could undermine the integrity of the Mueller probe. ACT👇🏽theloyalopposition.net/daily-ctas/urg…
Brian Benczkowski is the most dangerous Trump nomination you’ve never heard of. If the #TrumpRussia investigation has at times seemed like a twisty spy novel, we're about to enter a disturbing new chapter... unless we act fast. Call your senators and urge them not to confirm him:

We have no illusions that Pruitt’s departure will change the direction of the Trump administration.
The acting @EPA director will be a former coal industry lobbyist against whom we’ve already filed an ethics complaint.
But there’s an important lesson in the Pruitt debacle. /1
Until he was forced out, Pruitt appeared to be protected by a super anti-hero armor that made him impervious to ethics scandals, no matter how outlandish.
And he had Trump’s complete backing. Until he didn’t. /2

Following Justice Kennedy’s resignation—and as recent SCOTUS decisions illustrate—what’s at stake in the next Supreme Court seat is the very character of America. Thread. #SaveSCOTUS
Americans cannot and will not tolerate a Supreme Court pick who will strip away a woman’s right to control her body.

Our country desperately needs common-sense disclosure laws.
Exhibit A: The @NRA spent $30M to elect Trump—and it may have been Russian money.
If you’ve ever doubted that protests and civic engagement make a difference, be sure: they do.
On June 30, join a #FamiliesBelongTogether protest and together, let's force a modicum of humanity and decency on the Trump administration: familiesbelongtogether.org
We can end family separation and family detention.
We can end the administration’s other barbarous anti-immigrant policies, including the separation of families that have been in the United States for more than a decade.

Underlying Trump's proposal to combine the U.S. Departments of Education and Labor is:
-A disregard for the services the agencies should provide
-A desire to dismantle government without regard to consequences
-A belief that children and workers are fodder for big corporations
While it's true that Trump's DOE gets a failing grade, America’s kids do need a robust education department – to ensure all children attain a quality education, to enforce civil rights and disability rights laws, to prevent rip-offs by predatory for-profit colleges and much more.

We're calling on Novartis and AT&T to disclose the written agreements they maintained with Michael Cohen’s shell company, and to provide a full account of what services they hoped to obtain from his operation, and what services were in fact provided. nytimes.com/2018/05/08/us/…
Relevant Congressional committees should subpoena and make public the full written agreements if Novartis and AT&T are unwilling to do so.

#SOTU THREAD/ When Trump delivers his State of the Union tonight, expect him to boast about his deregulatory, trade and tax agenda. Here’s how that agenda hurts Americans:
Trump’s self-serving deregulatory agenda is setting the stage for large-scale disasters that could devastate communities and disrupt the lives of millions of Americans. #SOTU

The Pence-Kobach Commission was itself a fraud, designed not to protect the integrity of the vote but to intimidate voters, especially people of color, and suppress the vote. Our statement on it being disbanded:
While it’s entirely possible that @realDonaldTrump convinced himself that voter fraud cost him the popular vote, not only does no serious person believe that occurred, no honest and knowledgeable person believes there is a problem of voter fraud in this country.

THREAD/ Each and every person who had a hand in crafting and passing the #TaxScamBill’s monstrous transfers of wealth to the super-rich must be held accountable.
Here are some of the conspirators who merit special attention: corporatepresidency.org/tax-scam-namin…
GARY COHN decided the “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity to make history by cutting taxes for the rich was too great to pass by. Cohn is on record saying, “The most excited group out there are big CEOs about our tax plan.” thehill.com/policy/finance…
