One of the most fascinating parts of this game that I love is
watching the young thinkers build business using new rules and tools that didn't exist when I was rising through the ranks.

Here's a few things that Young Entrepreneurs have taught me:

(Thread)
#TheYoungGuns
Time is an illusion.

Older entrenpreneurs (and professionals) pride themselves on "time served". Years of experience, degrees, 20 years in this industry.

Younger entrepreneurs can build a 6 figure business in 6 months by focusing on learning high income skills
Building a presence online is a requirement.

I used to pride myself on having "roots and high credibility in the real world" and delayed investing heavily into online biz.

**The world is online** and if you adapt to this instead of fighting it, you will succeed much faster.
It really does go down in the DMs.

I was bred for success in a world of getting face-to-face and closing the deal.
This is still important **but**

Sending DMs can get partnerships in motion quickly.

There's 3 young hustlers who are DM maniacs who changed my entire view.
If you're awesome, you can bend the rules.

You can get funding from a DM conversation
I've met young millionaires who laugh at business plans
50k from Instagram traffic? Yes, indeed!

I learned to go with my strengths, not check off every best practice.
Adapt or be Extinct:

The fastest way to become a dinosaur is to have early success and rest on your laurels while the world is evolving.

The world honestly doesn't care what you've done 10 years ago.
Learning on your own will take years.

Did you know that over 80% of businesses are undercharging for their services?

Here's why you need to raise your rates:

(Thread)

#Sales #smallbiz
Raising Your Rates is a Sign of Professionalism:

If you pay rent, your property management company raises rent each year.
The cost of access to gas, electric, and other utilities also rises each year.

Your rates must rise to support cost of living expenses.
Raising Your Rates Signals High Value or Quality

Low pricing immediately raises suspicion.

Premium rates signify quality, prestige, and luxury for business services.

Twitter for Business Rule:
Develop a consistent online presence on 1 additional social media channel.
Invite your Twitter followers to connect with you on that platform.

Connecting on multiple platforms creates a deeper synergy between your ideas & audience

#onlinebusiness
Why is connecting on multiple platforms such a powerful strategy, Shadeed?

Great question :-)

Each platform has it's own "voice" due to the "culture" of that platform. On Twitter you deliver short, value driven messages that you can expand on other social channels.

The greatest business book ever written on the developing a unique voice for each social channel is Jab, Jab, Jab Right Hook.

It's written by the Kang of Entrepreneurship
