A lot of ideological clarity will be required in the coming days from all patriots - criticising INEC is to ensure that they do not constitute an impediment to democracy, but that they act as the unbiased electoral umpire that they are supposed to be.

The pressure on INEC is not even so much about #OsunDecides but to prevent INEC from declaring the general elections next year inconclusive and failing to declare PDP winner of PDP wins.

INEC had no business announcing results then saying it is inconclusive - that’s like a doctor helping to birth a bouncing baby girl then telling the parents the baby is dead, even while they’re looking at the girl smiling back at them.
