The FBI and @PreetBharara busted Putin spies in NYC and already had tabs on a lot of these interactions. They had them on tape calling Page an idiot. Trump fired Bharara as soon as he was able.

The dossier - a product of a highly respected British intelligence officer which the FBI has worked with in previous security matters - confirms more detail about Putin's interest in Trump and the campaign - not the other way around - again.

Putin jails and possibly kills suspected contacts of Steele - related to the dossier. Steele disappears for quite some time - likely scared that Putin will target him the way he has many other political liabilities.

The Steele Dossier is paid for originally by Peter Singer and the Washington Free Beacon - though Nunes is trying to imply that it was the Clinton campaign who started to look into Trump's Putonphilic tendencies...

Lastly- the things that are redacted in some cases are clearly about protecting people in Russia - in other cases it's pretty clear anything that messes up Trump's timeline claims are obscured. Good thing we've been paying attention since early 2016.
