(1) Reading Jake Sullivan’s latest @TheAtlantic piece, I wonder why such individuals & outlets are so alarmed about regime change in #Iran. theatlantic.com/international/…
Do they benefit in Tehran's mullahs remaining in power?
They may claim not, yet actions speak louder than words.
(2) Sullivan’s entire argument is based on the fact that sanctions, and more generally a firm policy against #Iran, will bear no fruit. Taking a look at the past 15 months, in contrast to the #Obama years, much of Iran’s malign behavior has taken a nosedive.
(3) Sullivan praises himself (& thus the #Obama team) of negotiating the #IranDeal. What he & others like him refuse to explain is the fact that the people of #Iran, #Syria & other countries across the region are paying the price of their “achievement” with their very lives…
(4) Knowing they are empty-handed in their arguments & seeing how a firm policy vis-à-vis Iran, Syria, North Korea & etc. is bearing results, Sullivan claims the only other alternative to the #IranDeal (& appeasing #Iran) is war.
For the past 15 months, he has been proven wrong.
(5) Crippling sanctions against #Iran’s regime have just begun. And considering the ongoing #IranProtests, seen in the Dec/Jan uprising, currently in #Kazerun, Shahroud & ..., these measures will have damning impacts on a very weak regime. #FreeIran2018

(6) Sullivan claiming the #IranDeal was working is utterly wrong. Scholars & experts far more worthy than I have through the past three years written about #Iran’s nuclear deal violations.
Here’s just one case:

(7) Sullivan claims: “If you care about Iran’s behavior in the Middle East, killing the deal is a distraction at best.”
He & others like him refuse to mention #Iran was actually taking advantage of the #IranDeal to continue wreaking havoc in the Middle East.
(8) Sullivan claims U.S. policy “lacks a defined objective or clear endgame”
The #IranDeal was so flawed from day one, let alone its “endgame,” especially considering the “sunset clauses.”
And BTW, whatever happened to @JohnKerry’s promises of “anytime, anywhere” inspections?
(9) A firm policy on #Iran is already placing this regime on the defense in #Syria & #Iraq. And rest assured @SecPompeo's Monday speech regarding an anti-Iranian regime alliance will certainly place Tehran’s regime on the ropes.
(10) Sullivan argues #Iran had a malign behavior before the #IranDeal.
True. And you blew an opportunity to curb its behavior with your talks, led by @JohnKerry & Co., with @JZarif.
Many Americans were furious, saying the Iranian team made a fool out of the American negotiators.
(11) On the global impact of sanctioning #Iran’s regime, take a look at the number of European firms calling it quits with Tehran.
Even China is saying they don’t want a trade war with the US & now Russia is demanding Iran’s & Hezbollah forces out of #Syria. #PeaceThroughStrength
(12) And when the likes of @barbaraslavin1, a known #Iran apologist, praise your work, that’s case closed if you ask me.

Here’s Slavin’s very professional response to Iranian opposition supporters rallying in Washington.
(13) And one last word for Jake Sullivan.
Your piece reminds me of claims made by #Iran’s lobbyists, especially the likes of @TParsi & @NIACouncil.
Any affiliation?
BTW, even Parsi is understanding the times are changing & calling it quits.
