In 1964 the #FBI diligently investigated the kidnapping and murder of three civil rights volunteers in Mississippi, and continued to pursue the perpetrators over the next 40 years, bringing the last one to justice in 2005. fbi.gov/history/famous… #FBI110 The #FBI conducted some 25,000 interviews and ran down tens of thousands of leads following the murder of President John F. In 1940, President Roosevelt gave #FBI undercover agents authorization to gather intelligence about Nazi threats in western hemisphere. Over 7 years, 340 personnel made up the Special Intelligence Service. #FBI110 fbi.gov/history/brief-… In 1941, the current #FBI seal came into limited use.
