Russia is not doing well economically. While it points at the west & screams "pipelines", Russia stands to lose billions of dollars if Assad fails. Plot twist, Russian intervention is about the pipelines + military access to the med + reconstruction money. The west, especially Europe can pull the energy resources it wants from other regions in order to survive and maintain its current standard of living. US is heavily backing the Kurds + much of Iraq oil so a Syria pipeline isn't a priority, it can reroute.

We are past the point of no return in #Syria. Not taking direct military action against the Assad regime as it proceeds to carry out its extermination campaign in #Idlib & the rest of Syria, is complicity to genocide and puts us squarely on a direct war path with Russia and Iran. Pretending that Russia and Iran can be appeased by allowing the #Assad regime to commit genocide in #Syria is a lethal mistake. Twitter is not worth the energy any longer, it will not take any serious efforts against astroturfing, private firm botfarms, or other propaganda spam currently flooding this hellsite. Trying to convey information to people who cannot distinguish fact from fiction is nonviable. Very weird how the campaign for a proper investigation of the 9/11 , 2001, US attack was supressed by state level astrotrufing and gaslighting and it was never actually legally or properly proven Osama Bin Laden senior helped coordinate or carry out the attacks that day. OBL being assassinated the way he was hinders the possibilty of any proper, legal and accurate investigation into whether or not he was directly involved.
