There is something about that generation that is different from all of us. Raising my son, I get to see it every day. These kids have a wisdom from young that we didn't have. Their thirst for knowledge, their activism, their openness, everything. I can't explain it any other way.

I've been trying to process what I saw yesterday. I never feel ok until I analyze things and try to come up with a conclusion or solution not based on emotion. No matter how bad it is, I analyze it. What was seared into her mind was Dr. Ford repeating the names of the people at the gathering, she'll never forget their laughter, & she just needed to know when Judge worked so she could figure out the date.

Crazy thought:
Rob Porter. We didn't know about his domestic abuse allegations until it was leaked. This had turned up on his FBI report which was sent to the White House. The White House decides what to do from there. The public may never be aware of what comes up in the report. Apply Rob Porter to now and ask yourself if this could be the reason why the Trump WH & the GOP is not willing to do the FBI investigation. Maybe this already turned up on Kavanaugh's FBI background check & we just don't know it. It would make everything we have seen make sense.

I was 23. One of the few people who I told about my rape told me to have the courage to go to the police & report it even if it had been a few days. They knew about my first time being raped a few years before & how I stayed silent. I found the courage to go to my local precinct. I was crying as I told them what happened. They asked me if I wanted to press charges. I said I was scared because we lived in the same neighborhood. I knew what people would say because of my reputation. I told them that the people would judge me & wouldn't believe me.

THIS IS WHY MANY WOMEN DON'T WANT TO COME FORWARD AND REVEAL THEIR STORIES. People like Kavanaugh, who commit these acts go on to lead their lives, to become highly respected in society while their victims live with their trauma. There is no pushing it off & denying it for the victims. That memory stays with them, they relive it, & deal with triggers.

I've been seeing takes claiming @CynthiaNixon, who still hasn't publicly thrown her support behind Cuomo but I digress, ran a campaign addressing needs of Blacks & POC. I guess they wanted Blacks & POC to "show gratitude" by voting for her & them not doing so is "ungrateful". Here's what's wrong with people like @CynthiaNixon. Black folk & POC are not stupid. We know if people are suddenly addressing things to pander to us & because they need our votes. We spot bullshit from a mile away. Cynthia Nixon has never done anything for us. We know this.

Manhattan, the borough of rich white folk went for Zephyr Teachout. They don't speak for the other boroughs in NYC. Why Letitia James won the AG Primary? She ran up the vote in the other four boroughs of NYC, boroughs with a higher percentage of minorities. Yes, they did that.

So yesterday my husband went to his first boxing fight ever with his cousin and friend in BK. I was pissed when he told me on Friday that he was going. I'm a die-hard boxing fan and I've never been to a fight. I told him it would have been a great date night & he was selfish. So yesterday, he leaves home early to get to NY to spend his day there. And I'm sitting here thinking & I instantly felt guilty for being upset. Why? We've been together for 15 years, our son is 14 & we're married 9 years. In all those years my husband has done so much for us.

And people need only look at this when they say what proof we have that white folk receive the most aid. All you need to do is look at the demographics of these states.

1) Obama did not have a magic wand where he could do more. In 2010, the Repubs took back the House. Obama's agenda officially died then. Wanna know why that happened? Voter turnout was abysmal in 2010. 2014 the Repubs took back the Senate.

Wanna know why the Repubs took back the Senate in 2014? Because again voter turnout was abysmal. So if you're mad that he didn't do enough, be mad that the voters didn't turnout. You can't expect him or any Democrat to do more if you don't vote and keep them in power long enough.

For more than a year I have been saying what my father taught me when I was a child. He taught me to never vote for the GOP. If it were up to them, none of us would have the rights we have. The GOP doesn't care about any of us. For them it is about the wealthy, money, and power. My father taught me the importance of voting in every election no matter how small it may seem. He taught me how my vote matters and how I need to always participate. He taught me about Civic engagement and Civic responsibility. He took me to the polls with him.

Here on Twitter, POC are forced to defend each other 0because no one else does it for us. I constantly watch people like @MrDane1982 get targeted for speaking truth to power. Yesterday two journalists with verified accounts attacked him. Journalists are supposed to be unbiased. Instead of being unbiased & fair journalists @ChrisLHayes & @mattyglesias chose to use their huge platforms to attack @MrDane1982. Their actions directly led him facing a swarm of targeted attacks. This is what POC face on this platform because of who we are & it is frustrating.

What I tweeted about earlier. This tweet from Rick Scott keeps appearing in my feed because someone likes it. Look who liked this and their profile. Look at the bio description #TheResistance. I never followed this account. I am now following it. This is the 5th time that Rick Scott tweet appeared in my feed today. For months I told you guys about these fake #Resistance & #FBR lists. For months I kept warning you guys about how there was something not right about those threads and to be on the lookout for them.

So, I had the TV on as I was getting ready to leave home. Usually my living room TV is on in the background till I leave. So it was still on MSNBC. From now on, I will now make sure to switch channels before 6 AM daily. #MorningJoe will no longer be on the TV in my home. I also won't listen to #MorningJoe when I drive to work anymore. @JoeNBC and @MorningMika will always be trash. I tried to still have an open mind even if they denigrated Hillary & gave Donald Trump free access & propped him up in 2015/2016 & continue to attack Hillary & Dems.

I restrained myself for over a week because it was the decent thing to do. But this is the last I'll say on John McCain. With the exception of his ACA vote which he reversed with his vote for the Tax Scam that included a provision that hurt the ACA, he voted lockstep with Trump. All of the symbolism and jabs that were taken at Trump with how his services were set up and speeches that were given won't erase the fact that McCain voted lockstep with Trump & the GOP. Every policy & appointment that hurt us, he voted yes. That is what he did.

Again, this is utterly ridiculous. If the Repubs have the 50 votes they need plus Pence, no one should get mad at vulnerable Dems for saying yes. He would get confirmed with our without the vulnerable Dems vote. So why not protect their seats.
