This is going to be a long thread.

We must pray for the Holy Father, The Clergy, Religious and the Church.

1) This scandal has shook the Church to its core. That said, my faith is not dependent on the sincerity of the pope, clergy or the laity.

#Viganò
#Catholic
2) We do not know the heart or soul of the Holy Father, Cardinals, Bishops or Clergy.

No person should make the claim to know their hearts or souls.

Ad hominem attacks from both sides are sinful acts of calumny and slander.

What do we know?
3) The preponderance of evidence is disconcerting and should cause any person with eyes to pause.

What do we know to be facts:

Pope Francis has stated he will not say 'one word' related to the Viganò Testimony.

Dear @LiberalAus, you just don't get it, do you? Well, let me spell it out for you?
.@TonyAbbottMHR is a #RomanCatholic #failedclergy with strong links to the #Vatican in what he believes in, who told you upon his entry into #auspol that his #mentor was #BASantamaria, a #fascist #RomanCatholic with strong links to the #Vatican & the #Mussolini style govt
.#BASantamaria was a strong player in #auspol late 50's early 60's. If you were growing up in those years you would hear this weird voice on the radio talking about the dangers of #unionism & the need for #RomanCatholics to get involved. It was like the voice from Hell.

It truly is a tragedy to witness how much our society has denigrated fathers and fatherhood.

My dad is my best friend and I am so blessed to be his daughter.

(thread)
My dad is an amazing dad for so many reasons. He loves me. He teaches me with so much wisdom. He always believes in me and wants me to achieve what I set out to strive for. All the normal great stuff about a dad.
Over the past couple of years, culminating in the past month or so, I’ve come to realize that his greatest strengths are ones I didn’t appreciate as much. Or, in some cases, felt annoyed by.

A good friend once told me, “Carry your cross, Catholic girl”. Tonight, especially tonight, I know it’s exactly what I have to do.

Becoming Catholic is not like anything else I’ve ever done. It’s not shallow, it’s not half-measures.

#Catholic
It’s radical to say “I have been called to suffer. I have been called to sacrifice. I have been called to take up my cross.”

To the world, it’s the deluded adherence to some sort of invisible sky fairy, to the detriment of my own “reasonable” desires.
I understand why one might take that position. I always have, to varying degrees. “Why be extreme in following God? He loves you, you say, so are you then afraid of going to hell?”

Thread time.

I can’t remember the last time I was nervous talking to you guys about my life. I always find being open and authentic with you all has brought me so much love.

But here it is.

I’m becoming Catholic. Devout and deeply Catholic.
I am nervous because I feel the impact that you guys have on me. I feel the community we’ve built. I feel the human connections I am blessed with every day. And knowing what I now deeply believe to be true... I feel the deep responsibility I have to get this right.
I am dedicating my life to being like Christ. And to do that... that means I have to live it. To make my words count. To show love even in my imperfect humanness. To not ever lead someone astray from God.
