Since it was apparently news to a lot of people that straws are used for accessibility (DESIGNED FOR IT, even)

Here is a partial list of common kitchen items that can help disabled people cook (that we self pay for)

#Accessibility
Kitchen thermometers : useful for colorblind people who can't discern the color of meat to test doneness

Nobody every gave this talk to me.

Look, we all understand conceptually that rape is bad. Doesn’t mean we understand boundaries, enthusiastic vs revoked consent, or some of the more subtle forms of predatory behavior.
Like, we all understand that Edward Cullen popping into Bella’s bedroom to watch her sleep is creepy as hell, but we don’t understand how Ross Gellar’s entitlement and subtle manipulations are also quite predatory.
I think part of the problem is in film and TV (the most popular fiction of this century for better or worse), the machinations of the male characters always win the girl over. Like, without fail.

So, yeah, about that.

I put in my two weeks notice.

I work at Montana Department of Labor.

There were going to be ICE subpoenas for information that would end up being used to hunt down & deport undocumented workers.
It would have been my responsibility to prepare the information and hand them off to ICE.

I refuse to aid in the breaking up of families. I refuse to just “follow orders.”

This isn’t an easy decision as it puts me in a delicate financial position.
I’ve got a toddler, an underemployed wife in grad school & two cats.

There’s about $900 in my checking account.
