THREAD: Body Language Analysis No. 4343: Idris Elba, Kate Winslet, Anxiety, and Empathy • #Nonverbal #EmotionalIntelligence #BodyLanguage #BodyLanguageExpert #IdrisElba #KateWinslet #Anxiety #Empathy #Analysis #EQ #BehaviorAnalysis
1/ Idris Elba is by most all accounts, an excellent actor. But despite many accolades and awards, Idris, is of course, only human. During his recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, he experienced a very human moment - and displayed a classic nonverbal tell.
2/ Just after Graham Norton says, "... a-, but we have to say, it was a-, your American accent has not always been - that good."

#iBelieve..

The most important body part is our shoulder & it’s not because it holds up our head but because it can hold the head of a friend or a loved one when they cry.

Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometime in life.
I only hope that we have enough love & friends & will always have a shoulder to cry on when we need it.

The most important body part is not selfish. It’s sympathetic to the pain of others.
People will forget what we said..
People will forget what we did..
BUT people will NEVER forget how we made them feel when they were in pain..

Let’s get our shoulder ready…

Have #empathy

Hi everyone thank you for all your support and empathy in the past few days.
To minimize further injuries, the original voicemail with the intended subject's name has been removed, but I am reposting here with name obscured: soundcloud.com/user-251012259… (thanks for tech help!)
I am also reposting my entire Twitter message regarding this incident, with other important ideas I forgot to include:
four days ago my work phone got a rambling but confrontational 3.5 min voicemail from someone questioning my legitimacy to teach based on my presumed #citizenship and #ethnic identity. You can hear the actual message here: soundcloud.com/user-251012259…

I've often heard that #DevOps is all about #empathy and I agree.

As an operations person, the most helpful empathetic developers I ever saw were the ones that were told: "20% of your bonus depends on a rating of you from the Operations people"
I didn't believe this for a long time but you can 100% start a blog, write interesting posts and get people to pay you money to tell you more about what's in those blog posts.

Put another way: there are videos of people putting together Duplo on YouTube with MILLIONS of views.

Oh god. . . .David Brooks is breaking out his empathy tool kit. . . .This is likely to end badly. . . .
He came of age in the 1980's.

Maybe we should tweet the Willie Horton ad at him all day long.
David.

Just because you didn't know about it doesn't mean it didn't exist.
