Well @Netflix someone took your show producers "watch our garbage before you judge its foul smell" advice.

So many other things you get so right. But in this case? We told you so. mamamia.com.au/insatiable-net…
This isn't just a @Netflix thing. Shout down to @hbo.

In what other business do the people who support and buy your product get told we don't know what we're talking about?
How often does a show with a premise we believe is awful turn out to be both great and a smashhit?

Even limit your scope to shows after the mainstreaming if social media.

Alright. It's been a fun summer vacation. But okay. Let's actually do a #FatStudyGroup thread on the various wrongs of fat suits and talk about why thin people need to shut the entire fuck up. #Insatiable, this is for you and all your defenders.

OK, I’m gonna chat a bit about Buffy, Insatiable, and comic books. Yes, I know, bear with me.
The really tired plot of #Insatiable reminded me more of the revenge fantasy of Carrie than the redemption fantasies (w. the “revenge” more subtle) of male-centered superhero stories, where the marginalized outsider gains great powers (Captain America, Spider-Man, etc)
Note the classic Superman dynamic: Clark Kent is an unassuming geek, and Lois must learn to love him to “deserve” Superman. I can’t immediately think of versions of this dynamic with the genders reversed.
