We all show up, and the crowd is kind of small, and @GDouglasJones says something like, "you know what? Y'all know more about this than I do. I'm just going to go into audience and listen." /3
(1) Many voters claim to be religious, but don't understand the Gospel. They seem to think that their own "morality" is what makes them right with God, and that their fear of God is what keeps them right with God. #AlabamaSenateElection #AlabamaSpecialElection @MooreSenate
(2) Wisdom absolutely begins with the fear of God. That's true. But while we start there, we must not end there. Especially when it causes us to miss the Gospel.
(3) The Gospel is the "good news" that, even though we have all sinned and fallen short of God's perfect standard, Jesus nevertheless took our place on the Cross.
