Coming up in #AmericanLit this week as we apply @Tolerance_org Social Justice Standards of Identity and Diversity. #room290 👇🏽

Ss will study a variety of @thisibelieveinc #mentortexts before writing their own. As we read, we continue the small, daily, self-reflective writing.

This #writersnotebook work means that Ss will already have a rich source of material ready when they start composing.

After considering their own beliefs, and the stories that inform those beliefs, Ss will watch the documentary American Creed.

Using some of @facinghistory @writingproject supplemental materials, Ss will look at the beliefs & stories that make up America & Americans.

Ss who pass by #room290 will see models of writers with their notebooks! TY to my #pawlp @writingproject colleague @RealBrianKelley for these amazing visuals (and as you can see, I still got some space left! *hint hint*) #teachwriting #aplangchat #mentortexts 😉
And @RealBrianKelley, if you're taking requests, I think @mindykaling would make a fine addition to this collection. :)…
and have you seen this?…
