The answers to the #poll indicates that most of you feel the biggest gamechanger to the #tourism industry in this #Industry40 is the rise of low cost airlines followed closely by travel accommodations #startups like @Airbnb and @agoda.

Well, you aren't wrong there!
Low cost airlines #democratise travel for everyone. As @tonyfernandes puts it in @AirAsia's tagline: "Now Everyone Can Fly".

But #travel and #tourism is not limited to only the journey there.

As @andreas212nyc writes: It is a crowded space, especially if you consider (sic) Airbnb, Expedia and TripAdvisor.

But many of the disruptors are smaller — yet fast growing — companies and startups.

Firstly, let's talk about how scary #technology and #advancement can be to #music.

Some stats:
The US lost $12.5 billion a year in total sales due to pirated music.

71k jobs were lost; $2.7bn in annual earnings; $1.1bn of that would have been earned by the industry.
