@Lawrence @TheLastWord Prior to that they spent decades sneaking in tax loopholes for themselves (they increased the rate at which they got richer and we got poorer - little by little over years) and the the #Kochs have been quietly installing legislators of fortune from state to fed level.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord Their playbook is based on feudalism. The elite class is served by the peasants. And #CharlesKoch has been maybe one of the most brilliant men in history to have formulated the architecture for most of this decades long plan.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord For a long time I did not understand how anyone could be so callus and unpatriotic. Then I made the connection between he, those he pays and minds of sociopaths and narcissists and *click* it all made sense. He feels no empathy - sees no shades of gray.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord For he and those like him it's a simple equation of `why`, if he can provide the moon for himself and other elites, `would he not` take democracy and use it's own rules to `turn that democracy into a feudal state`.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord They view it as those deserving to be elite should do everything they can to uphold and enhance that status. In this world 'anyone' cunning and clever enough can hack their way through the ranks to the top (it's a dark world with dark justifications like this).

@Lawrence @TheLastWord I mean these are he kinds of things he has spent a lifetime studying and he's sort of a genius in his ability to translate these concepts into working models. It's kind of is M.O.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord And I'll be the first to admit that I don't fully understand the Russian crossover. Not in detail anyway (I suspect it's just more oligarchy meets oligarchy and money laundering but the details go deep) but clearly the Russians have wanted to take us down for a very long time.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord Trump has a long history of dealing with the Russian mob. I understand their M.O. of control is entirely based on leverage (some call it kompromat - whatever, same thing). Having bailed Trump out multiple times it's difficult to believe they don't have a *lot* of leverage on him.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord But it's also possible that he simply has this psycho romantic idea of being like Putin. Whichever has more sway I don't know but I also don't think it matters - clearly he is dedicated to Russia - not America.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord The GOP I suspect got involved mostly as legislators of fortune for the #Kochs (by which I mean the Kochs and their donors and other disparate elite).
@Lawrence @TheLastWord Somewhere along the line Russian threads entangled with that. Perhaps it just started with bribes and then leverage came into play - whatever, who cares - we saw an envoy of them go to Russia on *our independence day*...
@Lawrence @TheLastWord I liken that as Putin's equivilent in demoralizing Americans to the way the US demoralized the Russian leadership in 1969 when we modified an ICBM and sent it to the moon. What a statement that made - in front of the whole world. 
@Lawrence @TheLastWord When the Russians hacked the RNC I believe they got ahold of enough leverage to give Trump the ability to have any key member of the GOP do a dance and kiss his ring.

@Lawrence @TheLastWord So, back to jump street: why would it surprise anyone to see them treat Dr. Ford this way? They're pay for play, they're sociopaths and they may very well be under leverage. They absolutely will not do anything good for America unless it furthers their agenda to steal from it.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord And, just as an aside, our elections are being attacked by Russia and (this is just my opinion but I feel strongly about it) from within - perhaps even more so from within, going back to the feudalist agenda of the elite and the R's under contract to enact it.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord It's my belief that the only way out of this is:
1) Vote blue, in numbers to huge to dismiss
2) Protest protest protest
And address them for what they are, not as politicians but as the henchmen in the destruction of American democracy.

@Lawrence @TheLastWord If they don't nail us through election hacking or Trump simply saying, "sorry - I'm nullifying all election results - go pump sand" (and the fact that words like that do come out of his mouth is very telling) they will mostly likely go for our constitution.

@Lawrence @TheLastWord Given the cruelty shown this early on in their takeover I can't imagine anything less than another holocaust. And one in which the most evil elements control a military six to ten times the size of all other militaries combined.
@Lawrence @TheLastWord Imagine that giant death machine turned into the meat grinder of those wanting to "cleanse" the land and perhaps the globe. Who's to stop it then? There will be no comparable WWII "allies".
