A man who has been proven to have lied under oath multiple times about his role in torture under Bush43 and about multiple details surrounding at least 2 (possibly 3) credible allegations of sexual assault made against him... 2/

A man who wrote that Native Hawaiians (and by extension Native Americans) are NOT due the terms of their treaties with the US—sovereignty over their own elections... 3/

A man who wrote in emails that Afirmative Action measures, which are founded on the basis of #BrownVBoard’s requirement of equal protection of the law, is a “naked racial set aside.” ... 4/

A man who is credibly alleged to have tried to rip a 15 year old’s clothes off—who exposed his dick to a first year college student forcing her to touch it... 5/

A man who spent 15 of 20 years in public service as a conservative movement hit man and vowed revenge on Democrats... 6/

A man who has written and not recanted his belief that Presidents should NOT be able to be prosecuted for criminal activity while in office —#THAT man was just confirmed to take the 9th seat on the bench of the Court that determines the meaning of our constitution. 7/

A man whose judicial decisions demonstrate willingness to use technicalities and legal process to break the law and lord power over women’s right to exercise agency over their lives... 8/

And #THAT man, #BrettKavanaugh, will likely be there for the rest of his life: 30-40 years. 9/

This happened because hundreds of thousands of documents that revealed the content of #BrettKavanaugh’s work in the Bush43 years were kept from Senate, unable to be reviewed at all. Other documents were reviewed by Senate, but falsely marked confidential. Public never saw. 10/

This happened because @JeffFlake @JoeManchinWV .@SenatorCollins and @SenatorTimScott COMPLIED with this process, which was rigged from start and only got worse when the FBI was handcuffed by president, unable to question the witnesses that mattered. 12/ nytimes.com/2018/10/05/us/…

Know this: Unjust systems and structures are only able to stand because we assent to them. We comply. We vote “Yes” to them. 1) by our direct vote, 2) by not voting, or 3) by voting for people then failing to hold them accountable to just standards. 13/

Responsiblity for #BrettKavanaugh, traces back to the voter. We are responsible. Only 60% of eligible voters turn out for national elections in the US—40% in midterm elections. Many of the Senators who voted “Yes” to confirm K we’re elected during midterm elections. 14/ #Vote2018

And turns out the least likely folks to vote in midterm elections are folks who value justice—or at least say they do. 15/

Australia has compulsory voting. 100% of their electorate votes in every election. Can you imagine how much we could change our nation if 100% of just eligible voters got off the couch and to the polls!!! 16/
