Every scrap of evidence I’ve seen points to total disaster if #NoDealBrexit comes to pass. I have another proposal.
The House of Lords should be abolished. Instead, a lottery system is applied, entering all UK citizens aged 18-65.
Those selected are offered to become representatives for their area for ten years: 1/n 5 years of training in economics, law, philosophy, policy at home and abroad and public health. 5 years of active representation.
The salary would be considerable but strictly prohibit 2nd jobs or even investments of any kind.
At 10 years the next trainee takes over.

Is the lack of doctors being trained in the U.K. due to the “self-interest” of U.K. doctors?
Surely such an offensive remark deserves a bit more scrutiny Chris. Especially such a nonsensical one. /thread 1. Firstly the suggestion that UK doctors somehow benefit from a general lack of doctors might make sense in a free market, but the U.K. health system isn’t.
